the first post
i've set up this blog to record the adventures of two wonderful ginnys currently residing in this universe; hence the name GINNYUNIVERSE.
these ginnys are named papa and gretl and they are 3 months and 1.5 months old, i'm guessing. gretl is the absolute cutest and Tom and i call her the "golden ginny." papa is the most tame boy around and he is BIG and a bit brillo-y. i think he's an abyssinian and she is an american silky.
before I forget, i want to send a big shout out to baby and fluffy for inspiring us. check 'em out on their blog "furry pal: 2 guineas"

Hi ginny universe, I've bookmarked your site and would love to see your guinea pigs! They can swim isn't it? I believed animals that stays on land (those that cannot climb nor fly needs to be able to swim so that a flood would not wipe out the whole species - just my hypotheses.
hi furrypal! great to hear your response. i STILL have not gotten the camera, but as soon as I do, i'll take a picture and post it. yes! they can swim! that's a good hypotheses. i bet it's true of most animals, if they have survived to this day and as i hear, this cavy species are 4 million years old!
